The Setai Pools

Three temperature-controlled pools framed by Art Deco elegance, calm, refined and grown-up. A serene alternative to the louder day clubs.

The venue

The Setai Pools

The Setai is one of South Beach’s most refined hotels, an Art Deco landmark on Collins Avenue known for its three temperature-controlled pools set in a serene, palm-shaded courtyard. Where much of the Beach turns the volume up, the Setai turns it down: this is a calm, grown-up, almost meditative place to spend a day in the sun, all dark wood, quiet luxury and impeccable service.

The three pools, each kept at a different temperature, run the length of a beautiful brick courtyard between the beach and the hotel, lined with loungers and cabanas. Food and drink are served poolside with the same understated polish that defines the hotel, and the beach is just beyond. It is refined rather than rowdy, the antithesis of a day-club party.

The Setai Pools are ideal for couples and anyone who wants a serene, elegant day rather than a scene, a place to read, swim and unwind in comfort. It suits a slow, indulgent afternoon far more than a big group celebration. Outside peak season, ask about day passes; in season, access is generally for hotel guests.

Go for a quiet, sun-soaked day rather than a party. The Setai sits in the heart of South Beach, about a nine-minute drive from the residence, a short trip for one of the most refined pool days in the city.
